September 17, 2018 – Ottawa, Canada: WiseWithData announces that it has made a strategic decision to re-align the company around its SPROCKET SAS To PySpark migration solution.
The upcoming Apache Spark 2.4 release contains an array of new features that facilitate a much deeper level of automation than previous versions, enabling SPROCKET to deliver over 95% automated code. There is a growing recognition in the market that Apache Spark is not only here to stay, but is the future of analytics. Key technology players such as Databricks, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Alibaba, and Tencent are all making large strategic moves to support Spark.
At the same, we’re hearing customers increasingly frustrated by legacy analytics. They’re challenged with skills availability, cost, performance, an scalability. For those customers who just want out, we hear your frustration. Our goal it to make the move to modern open analytics easier that you could possibly imagine.
As part of the shift, some resources will be redeployed into new roles with R&D and the SPROCKET delivery teams. In the coming months, we’ll also be looking to expand staffing and our office. We want to assure all our existing customers that we will continue to support their needs going forward.
